We are happy to share and hopefully simply re-state what people have heard. Premier Brian Pallister announced the Manitoba Economy will begin re-opening Monday May 4, 2020.
Manitobans will be able to access a number of non-essential health care and retail businesses and venues under strict guidelines:
Non-urgent surgery and diagnostic procedures; Therapeutic and medical services; retail businesses, restaurants – patio & walk-up services; hair salons; museums – galleries and libraries; seasonal day camps and outdoor recreation and campgrounds.
Schools will remain closed and public gatherings will continue to be limited to a maximum of 10 people. The businesses and venues allowed to re-open will need to adhere to strict guidelines tailored to each type of business venue or activity.
Full details are available at www.manitoba.ca/restoringsafeservices You need to drill down a couple layers but the details are there.
Our ability to enter Phase 2 of re-opening the economy on June 1 will be dependent on how well we handle Phase 1 and avoid a bounce back of COVID-19.
Stay healthy
