Greg is responsible for the vision and business development of Platinum Business Services. He has lead the amalgamation and Re-Branding of what was Five Star Accounting and Platinum Books to Platinum Business Services. This new brand reflects the evolution of our company through automation technologies and value added service offerings. Our preferred suite of software includes Hubdoc and QuickBooks Online financial accounting software. This combination automates the gathering of documents and receipts and some data entry freeing our customers to focus on the business. It also ensures our bookkeepers can properly schedule all accounting work well before remittance deadlines. Once the financials are prepared, our fractional Controllers work with the owners to interpret and analyze company financials throughout the year and develop systematic improvements. We are a Certified Profit First Professional company of the international Profit First Professionals organization. We implement the proprietary cash management system for our customers to drive profit and realize the associated cash in their company.
Angela is a CGA who has been working with small, medium and large businesses in a variety of capacities for over twenty five years, ranging from accounting technician while earning a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Manitoba, to Controller and management roles in later years. Immediately prior to joining the Platinum Business Services team in March 2015, Angela operated an independent public accounting practice, which enabled her to build on three years of experience at the Women’s Enterprise Centre as a Business Advisor and Program Co-ordinator of the WEC-Tech Program.
In addition to providing direct support in accounting, tax and other client services, Angela’s role as Quality and Systems Manager includes accountability for supporting the Platinum Business Services team in professional development and ensuring that systems and processes are available to the team in order to provide efficient, consistent, knowledgeable and high quality service to our clients. Angela’s experiences with a variety of organizations and industries, including manufacturing, software technology, hospitality, retail, not-for profits, construction and real estate development has provided her with a broad base of knowledge in several functional areas, including financial, human resources and facilities management, strategic planning, information technology, marketing and business development.
Angela and her husband are the proud parents of three active daughters, who Angela enjoys watching and encouraging in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including cheer leading, swimming and music, but particularly enjoys coaching them in basketball and Ultimate (frisbee, that is!), when she isn’t at one of her other volunteer commitments. When not working or attending extra-curricular activities, Angela enjoys time on the water in the family’s little bowrider aptly christened “Mid-Life Crisis”, doing her best to perfect the “whip” that sends the girls into gales of laughter.
Leslie has over 25 years of accounting experience working with large corporations, including James Richardson & Sons Ltd. and Canwest global Communications Corp. In addition, she brings experience to Platinum Business Services from her previous positions as a Controller of small-to-medium sized local businesses. She has experience with full cycle accounting, year-end working paper files, budget preparation and has a strong background in both personal and corporate tax preparation. Leslie is a graduate of the CGA program and has also completed levels 1 and 2 of the CICA In-depth Tax Course. When Leslie's not working, she loves to spend time with her family or catching up on her reading with the latest best seller. During the winter months, she is involved in a fun league at the local curling club.
Business Enhancement Manager
Hayley is a business advisor specializing in strategy, finance and management. For over 18 years Hayley has been working with owner managed businesses that range in size from $1mm to $25mm in gross revenues. Hayley’s primary focus is on the coordination of people, processes and technology to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of a business’ information needs. She has worked within a multitude of industries with a strong background in retail and manufacturing.
Hayley is a past Moderator in the graduate education program of her legacy designation – Certified Management Accountant – where in 6 years she taught aprox. 300 CMA Candidates. Hayley was also a national trainer and author for Intuit Canada, the publishers of QuickBooks – where in 5 years she trained over 2000 users and wrote a 300 page training guide in the application and use of QuickBooks.
Account Manager & Technology Specialist
Vivian has been with Platinum Business Services since 2007. She has a diploma in Accounting and Payroll Administration from Herzing College, and a diploma in Office Administration specializing in Accounting from Assiniboine Community College. Vivian enjoys learning new software and technology and is especially proficient with the advanced fetures of Quickbooks, Sage 50, and QuickBooks Online. In her spare time, she enjoys horses, horse racing and spending time with her family.

Wendy is a CGA with over 15 years of accounting experience working with both small and large corporations. She has gained valuable knowledge through previous positions including Assistant Corporate Controller with a publicly traded company as well as Controller of a travel agency. Wendy has experience with many aspects of accounting from full cycle accounting and year-end files to corporate tax preparation. In her spare time, she enjoys weekends at the lake and spending time with family and friends.
Tina has approximately 20 years experience in a wide variety of industries including service companies and charities.
Recently merged her company with Platinum Business Services, she has many years of experience both in industry and running her own bookkeeping company.
Close to 10 years experience in a number of different industries.
Accounting Technician, Technology Support
Kerry joined the company fresh out of the Accounting Technician training at Red River and has become a valuable support person on the team and a very strong researcher of answers to unique challenges and setting up processes for the team. He works with most of our divisions in supporting the primary service provider.
Imelda Dela Cruz
Imelda has approximately 20 years experience in a wide variety of industries including legal and dental services.
Matthew comes to our team as a recent graduate of an accounting program - he just loves numbers and solving problems.
Sharon joined the Platinum Business Services team in January 2017, bringing several years of customer service and reception experience to the team, including ten years as a hair stylist. In 2015 Sharon earned an Administrative Assistant Diploma and gained work experience in a variety of contract positions. Sharon has just recently become an empty nester and is enjoying the peace and quiet. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting, sewing, baking and watching a little TV to unwind.
Leonne has over 25 years experience in a variety of capacities and within a wide range of organizations and industries working with both profit and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining our team, Leonne worked independently for 12 years providing accounting services from full-cycle accounting to year-end working files, grant application preparation and reporting, budgets, identifying operational deficiencies and implementing process improvements.
Leonne is passionate about the arts and culture in our beautiful city. She is very active with outdoor activities, pilates, yoga and learning piano.
